Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose Bill’s Extreme Adventure?
We’ve been providing event entertainment in Southwest Missouri for more than 20 years, and that experience shows in the way we plan, set up, and run our events.
Our laser tag setup includes quality commercial equipment, inflatable bunkers, multiple game formats, and an experienced event leader to keep things moving. We continue to update our equipment and games so groups get much more than simply running around shooting at each other for an hour.
Today, we bring the adventure directly to you with Mobile Laser Tag, Archery Tag, and our Video Game Trailer.
Do you have a physical location?
Our events are primarily mobile, which means we bring the experience to you.
We can set up at homes, churches, schools, parks, businesses, event venues, and other approved locations throughout our service area. Some of our activities can also be set up indoors when adequate space is available.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Southwest Missouri and regularly serve the Springfield area and surrounding communities. We can also travel farther for events depending on the location, schedule, and type of event.
Have an event outside the Springfield area? Send us the address and we’ll let you know what options are available.
What kinds of events do you do?
We work with birthday parties, church and youth groups, schools, corporate events, family gatherings, community events, after-prom and graduation events, camps, bachelor parties, and plenty of other groups.
If you have people who want to have fun, there’s a pretty good chance we can build an event around them.
What hours are available?
You choose the date and preferred time, and we’ll check availability.
Events can take place during the day or at night. Evening laser tag can be especially fun, and our equipment is designed to work in a wide range of environments.
How early should I book?
Earlier is always better, especially for weekends, evenings, school events, and larger events.
We can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings when our schedule allows, and weekdays generally have more availability. If you need a particular date and time, we recommend contacting us as soon as you know your event details.
How do I book an event?
Start by submitting our Plan Your Event / Check Availability form or contacting us directly.
We’ll review your requested date, location, group size, service, and other event details. Once availability is confirmed, we’ll send you the information needed to reserve your event.
A reservation retainer is required for most events. Full booking, payment, cancellation, and rescheduling details are available in our Event Policies.
What happens if it rains?
Safety comes first, but a little questionable Missouri weather doesn’t automatically mean your event is canceled.
We consider rain, lightning, wind, temperatures, field conditions, road conditions, and the type of equipment being used. Light rain or cool weather may still allow an event to continue, while thunderstorms, unsafe winds, muddy conditions, ice, flooding, or other unsafe conditions may require us to reschedule.
When weather causes an event to be postponed, we’ll work with you to move the reservation to another available date according to our Event Policies.
An indoor backup location is always helpful when one is available.
How much space do I need for Mobile Laser Tag?
For a standard laser tag event with up to 16 active players, an area around 80 × 40 feet or larger generally works well.
A mowed yard, open field, gym, church activity center, or similar space can work. Trees and natural cover can make outdoor games even better.
We try to avoid thorny brush, dangerous terrain, extremely muddy areas, vehicle traffic, or spaces that are so large that players spend half the game looking for each other.
If you’re unsure about your space, send us a picture or address and we can help you determine whether it will work.
How many people can play Laser Tag?
Our standard events can accommodate groups of different sizes, from 12 taggers, 16 taggers, 24 taggers, 32 taggers, even 50 tagger events! You can always add more taggers or time to your event at additional cost.
We always come prepared with additional equipment available for certain larger events. Larger groups can rotate through games or use formats designed specifically for bigger crowds.
Tell us your estimated number of players when booking and we’ll recommend the best setup.
What ages can play Laser Tag?
Laser tag is generally recommended for players age 7 and older.
For groups with a younger child, we may be able to provide a lighter-weight tagger or adjust the setup depending on the child and the event. Let us know ahead of time if younger children will be participating.
Adults are absolutely allowed to play too. In fact, we encourage it. The kids usually enjoy getting the chance to hunt down their parents.
What is Archery Tag?
Archery Tag combines elements of dodgeball and archery using specially designed bows and foam-tipped arrows.
Players compete in an active team game without traditional sharp arrows or archery targets. We provide the necessary game equipment and instructions, then organize the group into games appropriate for the event.
We formerly referred to this service as Battle Bows, so longtime customers may recognize that name.
What is included with the Video Game Trailer?
Our mobile Video Game Trailer brings a multiplayer gaming setup directly to your event.
The trailer includes five gaming stations featuring current-generation consoles including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch systems. Game options can include popular multiplayer titles such as Fortnite, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Minecraft, sports games, party games, and other age-appropriate selections.
Game availability may vary, and we can adjust the lineup based on the age and interests of your group.
What does the Video Game Trailer need at my location?
We need a safe, level, legally accessible place to park the truck and trailer, along with enough room to enter, exit, and maneuver safely.
Please let us know ahead of time about narrow roads, gates, steep driveways, low branches, limited parking areas, or anything else that could affect access.
Because the trailer contains electronics and gaming equipment, food, open drinks, smoking, vaping, and unsafe behavior are not permitted inside.
Do you provide someone to run the event?
Yes. We do not provide drop-off packages. Our mobile events include an event leader who handles the equipment, explains the rules, organizes games, and helps keep the event moving.
For laser tag, we can also introduce different missions and game styles throughout the event rather than playing the same basic game repeatedly.
Depending on the package, games may include team battles, objective-based missions, and specialty equipment or scenarios.
Do we need adults present?
Yes. A responsible adult must remain onsite for events involving minors.
Our staff runs the activity, but the customer or hosting organization is still responsible for the general supervision and behavior of their group.
For younger groups, having additional adults available is especially helpful.
How early do you arrive to set up?
Arrival time depends on the service and size of the event. A general rule is 30 minutes for an indoor event and an hour for an outdoor event.
Some laser tag setups require significant time before the scheduled start, while the Video Game Trailer has different parking and setup requirements. We’ll coordinate arrival and access details with you before your event.
Your scheduled event time is the play/service time, so we ask that the setup area be accessible when our team arrives.
Can you do indoor events?
Yes, depending on the activity and available space.
Laser tag can work extremely well inside gyms, church buildings, activity centers, warehouses, and other large spaces. Indoor locations are also a great backup option when weather is questionable.
Contact us with information about the space and we can help determine what setup will work best.
What do I need to provide?
Usually, we need a safe and accessible location, accurate information about the property, and an adult contact who will be onsite.
Before the event, please let us know about gates, parking restrictions, difficult terrain, venue rules, electrical limitations, or other circumstances that could affect setup.
If your venue requires special permission or permits, those arrangements are the responsibility of the person booking the event.
